The Administrative Division is located at CYFD's headquarters building, Station 53, on Yavapai Road in the Town of Prescott Valley. This division consists of the Administrative Services Director, three Administrative Secretaries and an Administrative Clerk. The purpose of the Administration Division is to oversee the District’s annual budget, finance, computer networking, clerical and records management, and complete our human resource needs including promotions, hiring, suspensions, and transfers. Administration also coordinates grievances, and discipline actions, and has the responsibilities for all major purchasing. In addition, Administration provides analysis and forecasts for budget decisions and long term planning.

Managing one of the State’s largest Fire Districts brings many challenges due to the diverse topography the District serves. The District employs over 115 members, both full time and reserve, to provide fire protection services to 160 square miles which includes several unique subdivisions, towns and cities. These include the Town of Prescott Valley, Coyote Springs, all the area surrounding the City of Prescott, Highland Pines, Ponderosa Park, Diamond Valley, Old Black Canyon area and the greater Dewey/Humboldt area. The terrain changes drastically from high desert to rugged mountains covered with ponderosa pines.
